Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how TheTripTime handles flight booking cancellations, refunds, travel credits, and related matters for reservations made through our USA flight booking platform. By confirming a reservation with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
1. Flight Booking Confirmation
Your flight reservation is officially confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation email from TheTripTime. The confirmation email will contain traveler information, airline details, itinerary, fare breakdown, baggage information, and payment summary. Travelers should carefully review all booking details immediately upon receipt.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on the airline fare rules, ticket type, route, and the timing of cancellation requests. Certain refundable tickets may qualify for partial or full refunds, while promotional, discounted, or basic economy fares may be completely non-refundable after ticket issuance.
3. Cancellation by Traveler
If you decide to cancel your flight booking, cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through email or customer support channels provided by TheTripTime. Refund calculations will be based on airline rules, supplier conditions, and the time the cancellation request is received.
4. Standard Flight Cancellation Charges
The following general cancellation conditions may apply depending on airline fare rules:
- More than 7 days before departure: Partial or full refunds may be available after deducting airline and service fees.
- 72 hours to 7 days before departure: Airline cancellation penalties and applicable service charges may apply.
- Less than 72 hours before departure: Higher cancellation penalties or limited refund eligibility may apply.
- No-show or missed departure: Tickets may become fully non-refundable and unused flight segments may be canceled automatically.
5. Non-Refundable Charges
Certain charges including booking service fees, seat selection fees, baggage fees, travel protection plans, processing charges, and airline-imposed penalties may remain non-refundable even if the ticket itself qualifies for a partial refund.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
If your booking qualifies for a refund, the amount will generally be processed back to the original payment method within 7–21 business days after airline approval. Processing timelines may vary depending on the airline, payment processor, banking institution, or international transaction procedures.
7. Airline Schedule Changes & Cancellations
If an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight schedule, travelers may be eligible for alternative flight options, travel credits, or refunds depending on the airline’s policy and applicable regulations. Refund decisions remain subject to airline approval and operational conditions.
8. Force Majeure & Travel Disruptions
In situations involving severe weather, natural disasters, airport closures, public health emergencies, government restrictions, strikes, or other force majeure events, airlines may apply special waiver policies. Refunds, credits, or rebooking options will depend on airline guidelines and supplier approvals at the time of disruption.
9. Partial Refunds & Unused Segments
If only a portion of the itinerary is canceled or unused, refund eligibility for remaining flight segments will depend on the airline fare conditions and ticket structure. Some partially used tickets may have limited or no refund value.
10. Flight Changes & Rebooking
Changes to travel dates, destinations, passenger details, or routes may be subject to airline change penalties, fare differences, and service charges. Certain tickets may not permit modifications after confirmation.
11. Travel Credits & Airline Vouchers
Some airlines may issue future travel credits or vouchers instead of monetary refunds for canceled or changed reservations. These credits are governed by airline-specific expiration dates, terms, and usage conditions.
12. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance or trip protection coverage to help protect against unexpected cancellations, delays, baggage loss, medical emergencies, or travel interruptions. Insurance coverage is provided by third-party insurers and is subject to policy terms and exclusions.
13. Policy Updates
TheTripTime reserves the right to update or revise this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking will govern your reservation and related refund eligibility.
