Damage Policy

Damage Policy

This Cruise Damage Policy outlines responsibilities, charges, and procedures related to damage, loss, or misconduct occurring during your cruise vacation. By confirming your cruise reservation, you agree to comply with the terms below. Damage-related charges depend on cruise line policies, cabin category, onboard facilities used, and the nature of the incident.

1. Pre-Boarding Cabin Inspection

Guests are advised to inspect their cabin and any assigned amenities immediately upon boarding. Any visible damage to furniture, fixtures, balconies, or onboard equipment must be reported to guest services promptly. Failure to report pre-existing damage may result in liability upon disembarkation.

2. Damage During the Cruise

Any damage caused to cabins, public areas, furnishings, safety equipment, or cruise property during the voyage is the responsibility of the guest or group occupying the cabin. This includes accidental, negligent, or intentional damage.

3. Incident Reporting

All incidents involving damage, loss, or unsafe behavior must be reported immediately to ship staff or guest services. Cruise lines may require written incident reports, statements, or onboard security documentation for assessment.

4. Balcony, Cabin & Interior Damage

Damage to cabin interiors, balconies, doors, glass panels, plumbing, lighting, or climate systems may result in repair or replacement charges. Balcony misuse, including climbing or object disposal, is strictly prohibited and may incur penalties.

5. Damage Assessment & Repair Costs

Damage is assessed by the cruise operator after inspection. Charges may include repair costs, labor, cleaning, replacement, and administrative fees. All assessments made by the cruise line are considered final.

6. Loss of Use Charges

If damage renders a cabin or facility unavailable for future sailings, loss-of-use charges may apply. These charges compensate the cruise line for revenue lost during repair or restoration periods.

7. Cleaning & Sanitation Fees

Excessive cleaning due to spills, bodily fluids, smoking violations, pets, or odors may result in sanitation fees. Charges typically range from $100 to $500 depending on severity and area affected.

8. Prohibited Conduct & Negligence

Damage caused by reckless behavior, intoxication, violation of cruise rules, unauthorized access to restricted areas, or misuse of safety equipment may result in immediate charges, removal from the cruise, and denial of future travel.

9. Unauthorized Modifications

Guests are not permitted to alter cabins, fixtures, or cruise property. Unauthorized modifications, decorations, or installations may result in damage charges and additional penalties.

10. Theft or Total Loss

Guests may be held financially responsible for missing or stolen cruise property, including towels, electronics, safety devices, or furnishings. In severe cases, the full replacement cost may be charged.

11. Billing & Payment

Damage-related charges may be applied directly to the onboard account or the payment method used for booking. Charges may be processed after disembarkation if inspection requires additional review.

12. Dispute Resolution

Guests may submit disputes regarding damage charges in writing within the timeframe specified by the cruise operator. Supporting documentation may be required, and disputes are reviewed according to cruise line policies.

13. Responsibility of the Guest

The primary booking guest is responsible for all occupants within the cabin, including family members and invited guests. Responsibility remains until final inspection is completed after disembarkation.
