Flight Cancellation Policy
At TheTripTime, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. This Flight Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions related to flight booking cancellations, modifications, refunds, and travel credits for reservations made through our platform. By confirming a booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to the conditions stated below.
1. Flight Booking Confirmation
A flight reservation is considered confirmed only after TheTripTime successfully processes the payment and issues a booking confirmation email. The confirmation will include passenger details, airline information, flight itinerary, fare details, baggage allowance, and applicable taxes or service fees. Customers are advised to review all booking information carefully immediately after receiving confirmation.
2. Cancellation Request Procedure
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to TheTripTime. The official cancellation date will be considered the date on which the written request is received by our customer support team. Requests made only by phone or voicemail may not be treated as valid cancellation requests.
3. Standard Flight Cancellation Charges
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before departure may qualify for a refund after deducting airline penalties and applicable service fees.
- Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before departure may incur airline cancellation penalties along with service charges.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of departure may result in substantial cancellation fees depending on airline fare rules.
- Certain airline tickets, including basic economy, promotional, discounted, or special fares, may be fully non-refundable.
- Failure to board the scheduled flight without prior cancellation (no-show) may result in complete forfeiture of the ticket value.
4. Non-Refundable Fares and Promotional Tickets
Some airline fares are sold at discounted or promotional pricing and may be marked as non-refundable by the airline. These fares are subject to strict airline restrictions and cannot be refunded once the booking is confirmed. Any applicable airline credit or future travel voucher will be governed solely by the airline’s policy.
5. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7–21 business days after receiving confirmation from the airline or travel supplier. Processing times may vary depending on the airline, payment processor, or financial institution. TheTripTime is not responsible for delays caused by third-party providers or banking institutions.
6. Airline Schedule Changes and Cancellations
Airlines may occasionally modify schedules, change flight timings, reroute itineraries, or cancel flights due to operational reasons, weather conditions, or regulatory requirements. In such situations, TheTripTime will assist customers in coordinating with the airline for available alternatives, travel credits, or refund options based on the airline’s policies.
7. Force Majeure and Travel Disruptions
In cases involving circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, airport closures, government restrictions, health emergencies, or other force majeure events, airlines may apply special waiver policies. Refunds, credits, or rescheduling options will depend on airline rules and supplier approvals applicable at the time of disruption.
8. Flight Changes and Rebooking
Requests to modify travel dates, destinations, passenger names, or flight routes are subject to airline fare rules and seat availability. Fare differences, airline penalties, and additional service charges may apply. Certain tickets may not permit any modifications after confirmation.
9. Passenger Responsibility
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that all traveler information provided during booking is accurate and matches government-issued identification documents. Customers are also responsible for checking passport validity, visa requirements, airline baggage policies, and airport check-in timelines before departure.
10. Policy Updates and Modifications
TheTripTime reserves the right to modify or update this Flight Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. The version of the policy active at the time of booking will apply to the reservation.
